Would you forgive a mother who favors riches over her own children? Or a wayward heir with gambling debts? A Change of Heart is a unique theatrical play that follows two families who face events both dramatic and comical.
As a San Francisco staple, we have been entertaining visitors from around the country since the 1950s. Our classical Chinese operatic plays are performed in English and Cantonese, featuring glittering costumes, playful monkeys, dance, and martial arts.
60 years ago, we baked and sold homemade cookies to raise the resources to build our venue and to fund our plays. Today, we pay homage to this history by selling our cookies during intermission (cash only).
A Chinese cuisine lunch can be arranged prior to the show. Dishes are selected by the chef. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance.
Two prizes will be raffled off at the end of each performance. Each guest will receive one raffle ticket upon arrival.
Our proceeds go to our Youth Education Fund, which grants academic scholarships to our members. No refunds are allowed. Tickets can, however, be transferred to an alternate performance date if seats are still available.
Tax and tip included in the price.
If you prefer to order via email or pay by check, please complete and send us an order form.
